The Rijkmuseum was closed.

Visit Anne Frank Haus after 1230 HRS. You don't have to wait in line for long by then.

Best Way To Get Around:

For travellers from British colonies, it's not advisable to rent a bicycle because of the road systems. Just buy the daily pass(2 days,5 days..etc) and hop in the integrated transpotation systems. COuld be used on the tram, sneltram and bus.

For Muslims, the rule of thumbs is to go to kebab houses. It can be assured that the food there is halal. The portions are generous and the prices are good. However, please be extra careful with Indonesian restaurant. Although the Muslim population in Indo is 90%, most of the restaurants in Amsterdam are not. Check with the owner (the one who greets you) whether the restaurant can cater halal food or not.
