Restaurant

Dinner was amazing and worth every penny. There were five of us at dinner and there was not a complaint around the table. Two of us ordered the chef's choice menu with the wine selections and wine selections were superb. The wait staff was very attentive without being intrusive.

New Orleans School of CookingBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "New Orlean's School of Cooking"

This is a three-hour cooking lesson. You learn to cook a variety of local foods, which you then get to eat. You do not get to participate in the cooking, but you can take the recipes home with you. It was a lot of fun and we also learned a lot of history about New Orleans it's food.

Petunia'sBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant

We had gotten a recommendation for this restaurant; however, it met with mixed reviews in our group. It is supposed to be known for its crepes, but those of us who ordered the crepes were not that thrilled with them. The gumbo was very good though.

House of BluesBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant

We went to the House of Blues for the gospel brunch on Sunday. It was great. Typical southern breakfast foods, made-to-order omletes, and free-flowing mimosas. The food was wonderful and the music was fantastic. We also ate dinner in the restaurant (no reservations needed) and the food was very good.

Audubon ZooBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

This was a nice, clean zoo with a good variety of animals.

It's very easy to get to on the St. Charles trolley. From the trolley, you can choose to walk to the mile and a half to the entrance or ride the shuttle that arrives approximately every 15 minutes.
