Southern Florida Coastal

A May 2003 trip to Pompano Beach by Marcia Greendyk

Our week in Pompano Beach, Florida.

  • 2 reviews
We just returned home from a week at the Lighthouse Cove Resort in Pompano Beach, Florida. While our unit was a bit worn, the entire experience there was outstanding. The grounds are very nice with one of the most pleasant pool areas we have ever experienced. And, it faced the ocean so even if you chose to stay at the pool, you had a wonderful ocean view. Would recommend the resort to anyone!

Quick Tips:

Be sure to visit the Sea Watch restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale. Wonderful food but better than that is the view. Surely, a do not miss place.

Best Way To Get Around:

We had a great time exploring Ft. Lauderdale on the water taxi! What a great deal, five dollars for all day on the water taxi, as many trips as you want.

We were looking for a good seafood restaurant on the last night of our vacation in the Ft. Lauderdale area. We happened by the Sea Watch just north of the city on Highway A1A. We were shown to a table on the patio (all enclosed with huge windows) that had a wonderful view of the ocean. The food was great and the service friendly. It was the perfect ending to a perfect vacation.
