Clean, comfortable, modern, and friendly. I have stayed in dozens of hotels throughout South America and had a variety of experiences. The Del Prado Inn is impressive because it is a small hotel with all of the services of a larger facility. The rooms are very modern with new spacious bathrooms that somehow manage to retain their charm...perhaps it is the Inca walls!

The location is very convenient, just off of the main square and close to most of the museums, churches, and restaurants.

I would suggest this hotel to anyone without hesitation.

Tunupa offers buffet style dining which allows you to sample a wide variety of Peruvian dishes . . . alpaca is one of their specialties. In addition to fabulous food, they have a nightly show featuring local music and traditional dances. Both times that I have been in Cusco I have eaten here. It is enjoyable, entertaining, clean, and fun. I would recommend it. However, be aware that this is a place geared towards tourists, so you will not see many locals here!

Urubamba River Rafting

Attraction | "White Water Rafting"

If you are looking for adventure I suggest rafting on the Urumbamba. It is a great way to gain perspective of the surrounding mountains and ruins. While rafting down class two and three rapids, you will pass by ancient Incan ruins, Spanish churches, and local farms. The river can be a little bit cold so it is better to go on a sunny day. After rafting, you will have a river-side picnic before returning to Cusco.
