Beautiful Malta

An August 2001 trip to Malta by LuckyLaura

Quote: Malta is a beautiful country with lovely people and beautiful food. It's like entering another world when you step off the plan in Malta. The buses are relics from the 1950's and some cars are much the same.

Pasta Mania

Restaurant

Quote:
The food is this restaurant is absolutely fantastic and really inexpensive. You have the choice of dining indoor or outdoor. If you choose to stay outside you have a beautiful view of Silema bay and promenade, and the fresh see air makes the food taste even better. And if that's not enough the staff are extremely helpful and very nice.

Ryans Irish Bar

Attraction

Quote:
In Ryans Irish Bar, the staff have to be the friendliest people that I have ever met. The come from all over - Ireland, England, Australia and France - but they all have Maltese blood. The drinks are very good here and they also serve bar food. Now if you like garlic bread, this has to be the best place in world for garlic bread. It would certainly keep away the vampires!

Beach Activities

Attraction

Quote:
There arn't very many beachs in Malta, but the beaches that are there are beautiful. Most are small however. All over the island there are rocky areas where people sit and relax by the coast and jump off the rocks into the clear Mediterranean Sea.

You can take day trips to Comino and Gozo. If you take one of those trips you can go swimming in a Blue Lagoon. The only bad thing about the Blue Lagoon is that during the peak season it's very crowded. The trip takes about one hour to get there but the scenery is well worth it. You can go snorkeling and diving up in this area and it's well worth taking the plunge.
