An October 2003 trip
to Tenerife by QUI QUI
Quote: 1 week on the 21st March at The sunset Harbour Club. We had fantasic weather, stayed in a wonderful complex, and had plenty of good food, drink and sing songs!!
If you want to go further away from Toviscas, there are plenty of buses that run through out the day and night. They are every 2 or 3 minutes and they will take you Playa de las Americas and los Cristianos, I didn't take the bus but I have heard that they only charge a euro or so.The best way I thought to get around was to walk, as you could take in the magnificent views of the volcanic landscape or walk along the beach front to get some fresh sea breeze.
The weather in Tenerife is never cold, even in the winter it will rarely go below 65-70 degrees F, you may find you have a few cloudy or rainy days but the majority of the time, the weather is very pleasent. When I was there in March, the temperature topped 30 degrees C, so make sure you always pack some high factor suncreams and plenty of summer clothes!
Tenerife is a friendly island and has so much to do. If you are looking for a quiet holiday, then try Los Cristianos or Torvisca's, it is a lot quieter than Playa de las Americas, where you will find the heart of the night life, lots of clubs and bars that stay open to the early hours of the morning. Over all Tenerife will leave you feeling like you have had a great holiday. The landscape is beautiful, the people are friendly the weather is great all year round and everything is so cheap. These are the ingrediants for a fantasic vacation . . . along with having a good few drinks with friends . . . the island with leave you with fond memories and I bet you will want to go back !!
