Tours of this magnificent old hotel are given every day at 11 a.m.
While there is a charge if you are a non-guest, guests of the hotel may take the tour for free. When we took the tour, we opted for the $15 ticket, which included lunch in the dining room.
Built by Henry Plant in 1897, the hotel is reportedly the largest occupied wooden structure in the world. The guided tour takes you throughout the entire hotel and includes the underground railway system that was used by the hotel staff.
