In Ghizo the must do dives are: The Toa Maru, Grand Central Station, Kennedy Island Wall, and my favorite, The Hot Spot. Munda: don't miss Shark Point, Mushroom Island, and in Tambea. . .this is wreck heaven. Bonegi 1. Ruanui, the B17 Bomber, and the I23 sub. All are brilliant wrecks.Quick Tips: In Ghizo dine at Pt109 Restaurant and drink boiled water only. We stayed at the divers lodge here - it isn't anything special but the surroundings more than make up for it. Munda: Agnes Lodge was our home for the five days here and it's a dormatory set up very comfortably. Ghizo - Toa Maru

A huge Japanese Wreck laying on its side in a max depth of 39mt at the stern the bow is in 8mt. We descend mid-ship then swim towards the stern to see the prop ahaft and the anti-aircraft guns still standing guard on the seabed. From there it's up into the holds to inspect gasmasks and some various shells and cartridges, swimming thru a gaping hole made by salvages to inspect the initial hole made by the torpedo that sank this once mighty ship. We then dropped over the bow to have a quick look at the forward gun turret before moving into our safety stop at 5 mt for three minutes. The total max time was around the 30 minute mark on this dive.
