The most memorable moments for us happened when we were inspecting the tide pools and a Japanesse fishing float floated right up to my son's feet. We were all so excited that you would have thought we had just found a gold nugget! These floats are not usual after a storm but it's way cool to find one just the same.

Quick Tips:

Plan to walk lot when the tide is out, you just can't seem to stop searching every nook and cranny that is exposed. The front desk has times for the tides. Then hit the jacuzzi at around 6:00 P.M. That's the best time because everyone else is eating and you will more than likely have the pool and jacuzzis to yourselves!

Best Way To Get Around:

The resort offers a lot to do but for the serious shoppers you'll need a car. The closest shops are about 5 miles down the road. One exception, MO's clam chowder house, is approximately 960 steps from the resort and you can walk there very easily on a marked woodland pathway! You have to have some of MO's famous clam chowder and cheese bread!!
Best Things Nearby:
Flying Dutchman restaurant on site. Recommend highly! Safeway and other grocery stores near by including Wal-Mart for those forgotten items or to stock up on items to make and eat at your unit. Fully equipped kitchen, large fridge. Gas grills in the kids playground area. Most importantly cute and unique shops! Seal caves and Aquarium nearby. Great beaches in between! Lots of photo ops and beachcombing.

Best Things About the Resort:
Great spot. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, walking trails, tide pools, nice sandy beach rec room, exercise room. Play area for the wee ones. TV's, VRCS Stero systems, all the comforts of home but with an awesome view!

Resort Experience:
It's like being in the mountains with the ocean outside your door. Fresh air and beautiful scenery make this a must for those who want to experiance the Oregon Coast

Restaurant | "Mo's"

Mo's is at the end of the road that overlooks Devil's Punchbowl. The restaurant is on the small side and you sit at long tables where if your group doesn't take up the table, you may be joined by other diners. Food is great, service is fast, and the dining is laid back. They even serve beer for those who enjoy it.
