Marco Island is one of the most beautiful places we have been. It is close (about one hour) to the Everglades, Fort Meyers. We spent one day in the Everglades. When we returned, we took a "scenic route". We were in the middle of a swamp with alligators, birds, and wildlife of all sorts. It took us three hours to go about 25 miles, but it was worth it! Do not miss the Everglades.

The furnishings showed some wear. It was slightly smaller than other Gold Crown resorts we have stayed at. They charge for everything! Towel deposit was the one that I couldn't believe! Tennis equipment, everything basically, had a deposit on it. You did get your deposit back when things were returned, but it was something we were not used to.
