Best Things Nearby:
It seems everything is close to Sedona. You are never more than a fifteen minute ride to some of the best hiking trails and scenic beauty this country has to offer, and it starts right outside your door.

Best Things About the Resort:
Easy access to highways to all the places you want to go. Roomy, high quality units. Extremely comfortable. Two blocks from drug store and supermarket. Quiet location and excellent staff.

Resort Experience:
Rooms are large and well-appointed in a southwestern motif. It's an easy commute to any of the sights you want to see, including the Grand Canyon (two hours away). Sedona is rich in art galleries, jewelry shops, and restaurants. Shops pretty much close down by 6 or 7pm, making it a great place to relax and unwind. No street lights so the night sky is magnificent.

The resort is smallish so they don't have a lot of extra amenities, but the staff offers a lot of informative classes onsite. Quiet and relaxing, and if you're going on vacation what more do you want than a beautiful, comfortable place to stay with everything you want or need only moments away?

Relaxed but elegant dining experience. Excellent service that's quick too. Friendly staff. Varied menu. Everything we tried was excellent, including the cheesecake. Cocktails are a little pricey by Midwest standards, but in line with Sedona in general. Smallish property, but comfortable. Great all around ambiance. Suits family dining as well as a nice subdued romantic setting for a couple. We'd have done it twice if time had afforded it.

Fun place, especially if you have a family. Servings are abundant and the quality more than adequate. Just reading the menu is entertainment in itself. Large menu. If you can't find something to eat here, you are impossible to please.

Large portions that are served quickly. They always seem to be busy. Very active place. As full as the place was, we didn't feel crowded. Great spot for unwinding after a day of hiking the trails or shopping.

Attraction | "Red Rock Crossing"

This is the site of most of the postcard photographs you see in the stores. You can see Cathedral Rock here very clearly. You walk along a lovely, clear water stream and up through the branches of trees to the gorgeous red rock formations. If you're in Sedona, you need to see this.

Attraction

Just north of Sedona and across the bridge you come to Grasshopper Point. You drop down into the canyon floor and can hike along the trails to gorgeous views and spend relaxing moments by the sparkling stream. We're not hikers, but found this track to be freindly to those with little to no hiking experience. The quiet and privacy along the trail is extraordinary.

Attraction

This is the site of what once was a huge mining town with a population of around 15,000 just before the Great Depression. Down in the low hundreds today, it is rich with art, shops, good lunch spots, and interesting museums. Lots of interesting stuff to see and learn.

Attraction

Wonderful consortium of shops, galleries, and eateries in a marvelous setting. You can witness known artists at work and see the originals. Price range is mid to high end, but a joy for all. The atmosphere is relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable. Everyone should find something to enjoy.

The only downside is the traffic getting out. I recommend going with the traffic rather than turning across it when leaving. You can turn around a block or two down the street far more easily than waiting for a break in traffic.

Attraction

Words fail to describe the beauty from all the points you see along all the trails. My wife and I are not hikers by nature, but found the trail to be not too difficult for us. I am an avid amateur photographer and found myself having difficulty trying to choose what to photograph because I only had six rolls with me.
