The Beach from the movie 'Catch 22' Is located between Club Med and the San Carlos Plaza. Beautiful sunsets! Clean Beaches! Cheap Beer!

Quick Tips:

Just becasue you are in Mexico do not expect to pay Mexican Prices. 12,000 Americans call this city home so its just like the United States.

Best Way To Get Around:

Taxi from the airport about . Bus to and from Guaymas 4 pesos for students and 8 pesos for regular. Its best to just have your own car because Taxi's are hard to find at nigth and the buses stop running at 8pm

The rooms were clean, and bug free this is one of the nicer hotels for the area. It caters to the tourist crowd. Has two water taps one with filtered drinking. Also features small stoves and refigerators. Overlooks the harbor and you can get excellent views of the sun setting in the harbor!

Hotel Plaza Las Glorias

San Carlos, Mexico

Carlies Rock

Restaurant

Quote:
Carlies Rock is a great place to have a cold drink and see the ocean! However, I don't suggest you eat the food - it was good in flavor but the fish was old and not very fresh. 8 people were in our group and all agreed. The deciding factor on not eating threre was the cockroach that crawled out of the torilla chips.

Use you best judgeent!

Carlies Rock
Main Road in San Carlos
San Carlos, Mexico

I went here with two other friends from work. It was excellent for playing frisbee or just running up and down the beach getting exercise. It is covered with Glass so make sure you have nice sandals.

It is borderd by the San Carlos Plaza and Club Med. Was once used for the filming of Catch 22.

The Sun Sets here are beautiful and the water is clean and clear for swiming.

Take your family here to collect shells or just relax in the sun. Beer and liquor is allowed on the beach but please pick up after yourself!

If you are already in Guaymas, you are all set! Just catch a bus that says San Carlos on the front or the side. You be able to catch these buses in el Centro (downtown) or the Vigia Plaza where the Ley Grocery Store is located.

The cost is 4 pesos for students and 8 pesos for adults.

If you are traveling from Hermosillo take one of the buses that heads towards Guaymas. There are numerous companies that service Guaymas from Hermosillo. You can eitehr take the bus to downtown Guaymas or get off at the Vigia Plaza where Ley is located and take one of the buses labled San Carlos. The same procedure if you exit the bus in el centro.
