Best Things Nearby:Right down the road from the resort are a couple of wonderful restaurants, one being an Italian place called Café Fiore and the other a restaurant called Nepheles serving up "California Cuisine." Both had great ambience, excellent service, and truly outstanding food. The menus were creative and thoughtfully construed. Café Fiore had a fire-roasted tomato bisque soup that was phenomenal; you know when the soup is that good that you’re in for a treat.
We were in the area primarily to enjoy the outdoors, and fell in love with the Desolation Wilderness (on the California side of the lake). There are a number of dayhikes that offer spectacular views of the lake.

Although we didn't spend much time in them, there are casinos quite close by, as well as an outlet mall.
Best Things About the Resort:
We had the honeymoon of our dreams at the Tahoe Seasons Resort. The service we received was truly unparalled, and almost a year later, it's still what stands out most in my mind. Everyone was very friendly and truly went out of their way to be helpful.
Resort Experience:
The suites were almost too good to be true; ours had a small living area, a kitchenette, a spa area with a huge Jacuzzi, and a bedroom complete with fireplace. There was more than enough room for the two of us plus all of our backpacking gear, but I think it would probably have been crowded for a family with kids. The rooms were on the older side but spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. The pool was smallish but, like everything else in the resort, it was spotless and the perfect temperature. The rooftop tennis courts were also a lot of fun.
The resort is on the top of a fairly large hill, so while geographically it’s not far from everything, the walk is pretty strenuous. While the resort is not right on the lake, it does give out parking permits to a lakefront beach, which was very easy to find and quite nice. The beach was not crowded when we were there, as the water was still very cold, but I could see it filling up quickly in the warmer months. There was also a shuttle that went down to the casinos, which was very reliable and easy to use. We had rented the car and the valet parking was a nice touch.
The restaurant within the resort served up a nice dinner (we ordered mainly appetizers so I don’t feel totally qualified to critique it, but they were very good) and in the morning, they dish up killer pancakes.
