Sea of Cortez also gives life to the coast lines of Sonora, Sinaloa, and a small portion of Nayarit. Sonora, where the main activities are mining and livestock breeding, is one of the most prosperous states in Mexico. The deserts cover more than half the extention in the state, and are like a laboratory where you can test the resistence of life. The Sonora's coast line is shown with high contrast such as, in the north the desert and Puerto Peñasco, then some small fishermen villages, and then the coast just interrupted by Isla Tiburon, the Seri Sanctuarium and Reserve, the Guaymas Port, and San Carlos Bay.

Best Way To Get Around:

The satte of Sinaloa is surrounded by the Sierra Madre Occidental, and the Cortez Sea and the coast line in this state is just shocking!

Mazatlan is recognized all over the world for its hospitality. All the coast line in the state is a continuity of ponds and lagoons which favor the growth of natural birds such as herons or canadian ducks. Along the coast line there is a a good amount of beaches surrounded by palm trees tha are a gift to visitors, such beaches as La Tambora beach and the Teacapan Isle, which is a bird sanctuarium.

So, get to the Pacific and Cortez Sea beaches and start enjoying all the beauty and warmth of its people!

Pretty close to border city, you can spend a good day catching waves at this beach, and then go back to Tijuana and let the party begin!

Here you can find bays that are ideal for kayaking and camping. You can also admire seal colonies and rock formations such as The Arc or the Mask. You can go there and find the best fishing in La Paz!

To get here, you have to go to the Tecolote Beach and rent a boat that might take you there or have the concierge at the RCI resort book a day trip for you.
