San Clemente can be a peaceful city to visit, with the smell of the fresh ocean air. Then around the corner, you'll find everything a city has to offer...restaurants, shopping centers, & specialty & antique shops.

Best Things Nearby:
San Clemente Inn is centrally located for all types of activities. The beach is walking distance away & amusement parks are just 45 minutes to an hour away. If you're interested in more than just enjoying the beach atmosphere, water sports can be enjoyed at Dana Point Harbor, which is just a short drive away. In addition, the San Clemente State Park is right next to the resort. Needless to say, there are tons of shops & restaurants just down the street!

Best Things About the Resort:
The staff, amenities, & the location are the best things about this resort. The staff was courteous, helpful, & cheerful. The amenities were awesome & appeared brand new. These amenities included a game room, exercise room, sauna, a T.V. area with comfortable seating, a playground, BBQ grills, & of course, a pool & jacuzzi. They also offer a large selection of free videos that guests are welcome to borrow.

Resort Experience:
Our room provided plenty of space; however, the resort's age was evident in the room. We stayed in a 1-bedroom unit, which entailed a bedroom, 2 bathrooms, & a family room with a partial kitchen (or a very small kitchen), & a dining table. The couch had a fold out sleeper as well as two twin beds pulled out of the wall on the other side of the dining table. To say the least, we were impressed with the size of the unit.

However, they did have a "plumbing problem" while we were there. One afternoon, while napping, we awoke to water dripping, only to find that water was leaking from our ceiling onto our floor. The next day, while watching T.V., we discovered water coming up through both of our bathroom sink drains rather quickly & flooding our room once again. Both times, we called the office & they took care of the problems immediately. Maintenance was very accommodating & quick!

Bug
For young children, I recommend Bug's Bunny World at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Our 2-½ year old loved it there. They also have a free form play land that's fun for all ages. We started out taking him on children rides; however, once he discovered The Looney Tune Lodge, we couldn't get him out. They have slides, a friendly jungle gym, guns that shoot sponge balls & vacuums that suck them back up. Every 10 minutes or so, it rains sponge balls. He played there for about 2 hours, which left him completely worn out & gave a nice quiet evening to my husband & me.
