I was in California during the summer. There was so much to see and do, and no time to stop. Given that I only had three weeks, rushing was all I could do.

I must admit the attention grabber for me was San Francisco and Disneyland (Anaheim). What more can I say? Fisherman's wharf is filled with activities, lots of food, and buskers. You can catch a boat across to Alcatraz, just spend a day there, you'd be surprise how much there is to see and do. And I believe Disneyland speaks for itself...no explanation needed.

Quick Tips:

Most parts of California seem hot during summer with the exception of San Francisco and Monterrey. It's pretty cool and gets colder during the nights, so you just might want to equip yourself with a cardigan just in case.

Best Way To Get Around:

I felt slightly safer in San Francisco then I did in LA itself. Tramps are a very convenient way to get to your destinations in San Francisco, just hop on and off. People are quite friendly, smile, and say hello when they do to avoid any problems and all should be fine. As for San Diego, some areas are pretty quiet so it's best that you move around in a public transport and some hotels do offer dropping of and picking up their guest for some destinations.

Disneyland

Activity

Disneyland just leaves you in awe from the moment you get there till the time you leave. It's like stepping into another world and you'll be amazed that there are many more adults than kids. The rides are full of surprises because most of the time you don't really know what you're in for, and that's the beauty of it all.

You can get into the park early, spend hours there, get stamped, leave for a swim at your hotel, and come back later for the night show, which is filled with colours and wonders.

Indulge yourself here, be it food, souvenirs, or rides. Unforgettable.
