You can travel through several other beach communities, like Carlsbad. We had a nice patio right off the pool. I had been to the zoo when I was eight years old. It has gotten very big and has way more animals. My favorites are the pandas, Tasmanian devils, and the giant Galapagos tortoises. You need some good walking shoes. It is a lot to see, but if you start in the morning, you can usually get it all in.
