The trip to El arco, which is a natural arch of rock in the water, was very impressive and beautiful. Also Lovers Beach - what an unspoiled, private, and serene place to go for a couple of hours. Horseback riding on the beach was a good way to take in all that's around you - the water, El arco in front of you, the people on the beach, and the Mexicans selling their trades. What a remarkable experience.
Quick Tips:
Use plenty of sunblock and try to get some shade under an umbrella for part of the day. It'll make the day more enjoyable if you want to stay out most of the day. Weare sunglasses and a hat. Going into the pool frequently cooled you of quite a bit. The ocean water was quite rough and cold, but give it a dip just to say you did it. When shopping either on the beach from the local Mexicans or downtown you can really get a lot of great buys, and can certainly wheel and deal. Be cautious though.
Best Way To Get Around:
We found walking into town was very easy and a great way to get a little exercise in. Walking shoes a must. Downtown was close and convenient.
It was also a great way to a see a lot of the city and to realize it was very safe to walk around. Walk to the marina, it is so pretty and plenty of dining by the water with the boats all about. Everyone is helpful and pleasant. If you want to go to a specific restaurant that's not downtown, take a taxi.
