We traveled to Branson with an 8 and 10 year old over Spring break....We needed to choose activities that the kids would enjoy....We had lots of fun on the Wooden spiral Go-Kart Track and the Water Bumper Boats (Mom got soaked!!)...The girls enjoyed the Butterfly house....Kids really liked Shogun Restaurant where the chef puts on a cooking show at your table...kids enjoyed Dixie Stampede....10 year old "ho-hummed" the Kirby Van Birch Magic Show but 8 year old liked it..."Ride the Ducks" was a hit with the kids - they each "drove" the Duck on the lake. The trout farm was a lot of fun - you are allowed to feed the fish- they sure jumped for the food.Quick Tips: If your resort offers the "GO-Ca...Read More

Shogun Japanese Steak & Sushi

Restaurant | "Shoguns"

Quote:
Customers are seated at a long table with a grill in the center. Approx. 8-10 people are seated at a table. You select your meal, the server brings the salad and drinks. Then, the show starts. The chef comes out with the food and prepares it at your table. He makes quite a show out of preparing the food. The girls enjoyed it when he flicked a shrimp into Dad's pocket. He was quite clever with how he broke eggs onto the grill for the fried rice. The girls (8 & 10) really enjoyed the show the chef put on, and wanted to return. (However, it was an expensive meal for the 4 of us.) We did not need reservations; we walked in and had no wait. However, during "season", you may need reservati...Read More

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede & Dinner Show

Attraction | "Dixie Stampede"

Quote:
Dixie Stampede is a dinner and show. You arrive approx. 1 to 1 1/2 hours prior to the show. First, your picture is taken, then you enter a "holding area" for the pre-show. We saw a rodeo-type rope swinging act. Then, you enter the arena for the meal and the main show.

Each person receives a cornish game hen, a slice of roast pork, corn on the cob, potato, pop or iced tea, coffee, and dessert. The show starts just after you receive your drink and continues until after dessert. The food was well prepared and tasty. (Not gourmet though.) This meal brings out the kid in you - you get to eat with your fingers!! They do give you a warm paper towel to wash off with after dinner.

Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum

Attraction | "Ripley's Believe it or Not!"

Quote:
Once is enough.

There are lots of other activities and shows in Branson, so I would not spend the time to see this museum again in the future.

It is room after room of unusual items (Believe it or Not!): some are the actual item, some are recreations and some are just posters talking about unusual events, items, places or people.

Track

Attraction | "The Track"

Quote:
The Track has 5 sites: 2 sites offer Wooden (multi-level) Go-Kart tracks (5 tickets, 1 for a passenger), several sites offer Water Bumper Boats (4 tickets), most sites have a smaller one level Go-Kart track (4 tickets)(shorter height requirements) and a couple sites have an arcade. My 8 year old was tall enough for the one level track, but had to ride as a passenger on the wooden multi-level track. She had a blast either way! My 10 year old was tall enough to drive on both tracks. Kids and grown-ups had fun on both tracks. The girls really enjoyed getting mom wet with the squirters on the water bumper boats. (We did not use the arcade.) Plan to purchase a "Go-Card", roughly $50...Read More
