From the valet when we arrived to the valet when we left, everything was superb. The front desk was very helpful and efficient. They will babysit your pet and one cute dog was behind the desk napping! We missed the wine tasting but they brought us up a bottle of wine! Then we missed our reservation at the Portland City Grill and the front desk promptly got us reservations at Pazzo's there at the hotel. It was divine! The rooms are nice with tall ceilings and the beds were comfortable with down comforters. This is where the Portland Trailblazers stay when in town. We were next to the Scottie Pippen room!

We missed our reservation at another hotel and we called downstairs to the front desk to ask if they could get us reservations at Pazzo's. They called back and said yes! We had no wait, lovely atmostphere, and great fresh food. The service was super.

The hostess was terrible, almost to the point of ignoring us. People that came in after us were seated - maybe they had reservations. Finally a waiter came out and sat us. The waitress was different. She never came back and refilled my coffee. We went there for breakfast/brunch. The fresh fruit with mint and currants was tasty. The cornmeal buttermilk waffle with homemade syrup was delicious. My basic eggs, bacon, and potatoes was ok. The eggs were overdone, bacon limp, and the red rosemary potatoes were great. Fresh squeezed orange juice was good too.

Papa Haydn: WestsideBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Papa Hayden's"

We went here for the fantastic desserts. There are all kinds and all were rich and creamy. We saw salads and soups that looked superb.
