Best Things Nearby:
I really enjoyed downtown San Clemente. Cute little shops and nice places to eat. San Diego is a short drive south, with endless sites to see. We really enjoyed the San Diego Zoo, too. There are vineyards to explore, amusement parks, beaches, museums, parks, beaches, etc.

Best Things About the Resort:
It was in sunny California.:)

Resort Experience:
Overall, the resort was very nice. The common areas (pool, recreation area, lobby, barbeque pits, laundry facilities, parking lot, walkways, etc.) were excellent. The staff was also excellent-–friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice, but needed some ‘spring’ cleaning. Our room had a separate bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a living room combined with dining room, and kitchen. There were also 2 twin beds that pulled out of the wall and a patio. The room certainly met our family’s needs. The Inn also offers free video rentals and had quite a selection.

Story/Tip

Walk to the Beach
Our home resort is the Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva, WI, which by the way, is a beautiful resort with lots of things to do in the area.

Now back to our California trip… We arrived in California on March 21 and stayed through March 28. The weather was great (in the 70s), which is really nice coming from Wisconsin. We flew into Santa Ana and drove south to San Clemente (approximately 30 minutes). The San Clemente Inn is right off Highway 5 and was easy to find. Over all, the resort was very nice. The common areas (pool, recreation area, lobby, barbeque pits, laundry facilities, parking lot, walkways, etc.) were excellent. The staff was also excellent-–friendly and helpful.

The rooms were nice, but needed some ‘spring’ cleaning. Our room had a separate bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a living room combined with dining room and kitchen. There were also 2 twin beds that pulled out of the wall and a patio. The room certainly met our family’s needs. The Inn also offers free video rentals and had quite a selection.

The Inn is conveniently located in the middle of Los Angeles and San Diego and just a short walk from the ocean. So, you can plan short day trips, and there are tons of things to do, or just relax. Be sure to spend some time in San Clemente. It really is a sweet little place. Everything you need is right there. I loved walking through the downtown area, especially on Avenida Del Mar. There are several shops, places to eat, beach, pier, etc. Visit Billy’s Meat Seafood & Deli on Avenida Del Mar! It really is yummy and you will surely find something for the barbeque back at the Inn.
