Quote: Knysna nestles on the banks of a beautiful lagoon in the heart of the ‘Garden Route’. It is surrounded by a natural paradise of forests, lakes, and golden beaches. A mild climate, selection of accommodation, restaurants, and activities are just a couple of reasons why Knysna is South Africa's favorite town.

The food is rather continental, but makes excellent use of local ingredients, such as the ostrich. Fresh ingredients, rich flavour and genuine hospitality make for an unforgettable dining experience in a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. The view is magnificent at both low and high tide, look out to sea and you might see whales (normally between May and November) -- there are ferry boats out to the heads and further that go dolphin and whale watching. Come September keep an eye out for the marathon and half-marathon that the Knysna Club puts together. If you feel you want to combine an adrenaline rush with the scenery, abseiling might be just the ticket fo...Read More
