On our way back from Las Vegas, we stopped in Williams, AZ, at the Train Depot to ride the Grand Canyon Railway. We bought a roundtrip ticket, which at the time costed approximately $40 pp for Coach Seating. For more info on the Grand Canyon Railway, please visit
this website.
Our train was called Williams Flyer. Our train ride took one hour and 45 minutes one way. To put it mildly, it was a boring train ride. You didn't have hardly any scenery to look at. However, they did put on a good show while you were anxiously awaiting to see the Grand Canyon. That made time pass a little quicker.
Once you arrive at the Grand Canyon, you were only allowed about an hour and a half to enjoy the Grand Canyon National Park. Gives you enough time to look at the Grand Canyon views, eat a quick bite, and back on that long, dreaded train ride to Williams, AZ.
If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't take the train ride, but drive to the Grand Canyon ourselves. This will give you a much more relaxing time to enjoy all that Grand Canyon has to offer.
What can I say about Grand Canyon that is simply unique? Once you get out of your car (or train), your mouths will drop at the sight of the sheer beauty Grand Canyon provides. It simply doesn't look real. The colors you see before you and down below looks so much like a painting - a portrait that comes to life. It is so breathtakingly beautiful. It is something everyone should experience and see for themselves at least once in their lifetimes. Grand Canyon's beauty is forever etched in your minds, your hearts, and your souls.
