An October 2002 trip
to Cancun by BrandyPantz
Quote: A timeshare resort featuring the all-inclusive package and beautiful weather made this the best honeymoon a couple could have!
Definitely take some tours! Snorkeling is fantastic and cheaper than scuba diving, not to mention that no lessons are needed for snorkeling. If you go sailing, use plenty of sunscreen!
The Mayan Ruin Tours are something you will want to see. If you like the outdoors, definitely take the Coba tour!
It's also the cheapest way to enjoy a good drink, not to mention you can request a "to go" cup so you can enjoy your beverage on the beach. Long Island Iced Teas taste so much better when you're looking at the ocean!
Before you leave, make sure you have set up a transfer to pick you up when you arrive at the airport. The Cancun airport is swamped with eager taxi drivers.

Every Staff member will greet you with a smile and an "Hola!" The pool supposedly closed at 10pm, but they never cared if we were in there at late hours.
I love this resort! The rooms were specatacular and every unit had a FABULOUS view of the ocean! Room service at all hours and they even deliver breakfast IN BED.
Laundry services? No problem . . . leave it outside your door and they wash it for you!
The bartender at Trafalgers was so skilled, he made a drink that he had never heard of (Vanilla Bean) based on a description of the taste alone.
This place was the best!

They just drop you off in the middle of the Carribean and off you go. You follow a tour guide--he knew where all the fish were hiding.
The best moment for my husband and I probably had to be the moment we realized we were swimming along with a school of fish! It was like they thought we were a part of them.
The fish are just as curious about you as you are them . . . they will come right up to you just to check out what's going on.
