Escape from Snow II

A February 2003 trip to Bonita Springs by Eric G

This is a nice facility if you don't mind being inland (about 7 miles from the beach). However, the beaches are beautiful. The traffic is tough as there are only 2 roads from the mainland to the barrier islands. Allow 45-50 minutes to return between 3:30pm and 6pm.

Best Things Nearby:
Beautiful beaches (try Barefoot Beach Park); Everglades; Edison/Ford house in Ft. Myers; Red Sox Spring training; Naples.

Best Things About the Resort:
The facility is clean and well-appointed. The pool is heated and well maintained. There aren't any activities that we are aware of on site. There is a good municipal golf course close by.

Resort Experience:
This is a facility for people who want to relax and unwind. A car is a MUST! Most everything is 15 - 30 minutes away. The rooms are adequate size, but not large. The staff is helpful.
