Wake up early and stroll or run along the beachfront to see the sunrise, listen to the birds, then take a quick dip in the ocean before breakfast. The beach is beautiful with a grass area. All is safe patrolled for swimming or, for the more adventurous, surfing is offered further round the bay nearer to the rocks. Take a day trip inland to historical Eumundi (30 mintes) or catch the Sun Bus south to Sunshine (10 mins), Coolum (30 mins)or Perigian (20 mins)Beaches. Shopping is absolutely fantastic-you can buy high quality clothes for girls and guys, art, crafts, souvenirs etc. Their are many day tours to Fraser Island, hinterland, white water rafting, river cruises, fishing, golfing etc. ...Read More

Fantastic 5* plus on trendy Hastings Street. The place buzzes as there is an open bar/bistro on the street level that is open to the street and everybody stops by for a drink and snack. At the back on the same level overlooking the river is a great cocktail bar-expensive but worth having a cocktail before venturing out for a meal at one of fifty + local restaurants on the water or along Hastings Street or the sound. The Sheraton is to normal high standards with pools and spa. The main restaurant opens onto the pool and garden area.

The setting is on the Noosa River, a wide river leading to the ocean, and you can watch the river cruises go by. Plan on at least three hours to eat. Ricky's is an open verandah style restaurant with a bar. It can be closed in if it rains. You must start with your favourite cocktail (great Margaritas stirred not shaken) and you receive very generous serves--best not to drive!!.. Their specialty is Tapas and we highly recommend their local spicy sausages, prawns, fish and meats tantalisingly prepared and served splendidly in plate-stands holding fou...Read More
