Excellent food, service, and a beautiful atmosphere. A truly unforgettable dining experience. Be sure to save some room for dessert; we had the mud pie and the banana cream pie, both of which were out of this world.

Great value for breakfast or lunch. The food was really good with generous portions. The bakery items were really delicious; we got hooked on the chocolate brownies! They also sell the best cookies I have ever tasted.

North Shore Beaches

Attraction

The numerous beaches along the north coast are breathtakingly beautiful. We absolutely fell in love with the Hanalei Bay beach area. This area was not only beautiful, but there was always an area that was safe for the kids to swim, either by the pier or by the pines. This area also offered great beginner surfing opportunities for the whole family. We can't wait to go back!

One of our dreams for our trip to Kauai included learning how to surf--my husband, son (8), and daughter (13) all wanted to learn. We took lessons with Ron from Kauai's North Shore Surfing School, and are we glad we did. Ron was not only very knowledgeable about surfing, but he was very organized, patient, encouraging, and generous with his time. We strongly recommend any surfer wannabes to take a class or two with Ron. When we return to Kauai we plan to look him up for a refresher course to give us a jump-start on our surfing.

We really loved the sunset cruise with Capt. Andy. The catamaran was well maintained and comfortable with newly remodeled bathrooms. We took our kids, aged 8 and 13, and they really had fun. We were lucky enough to even see a few whales! The kids loved it when we happened on a school of spinner dolphins that swam along with the catamaran and performed lots of jumping tricks. What a thrill! The sunset was breathtaking and unforgetable. We would definitely take this trip again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Kilauea Lighthouse. In fact, we visited there a few times in the two weeks we spent in Kauai. We visited in February when the whale activity was very plentiful. What a great spot for a lookout. The volunteers there were very helpful in providing interesting facts for our whole family.
