Hotel | "New York New York Hotel and Casino"

NY NY
New York, New York . . . just like the city, it was easy enough to get lost, just trying to find the elevators! Check-in is great, you can do that at the airport, so we requested a Strip view and got it, no questions asked! Once we actually got to the hotel though, it took us a good half hour to find the elevators to the "Chrysler Building" and that was with a map! The room itself was okay, not tiny, but not huge either and was pretty dark due to the blue tinting on the windows. The best thing about the hotel were the attractions downstairs. It is meant to look like the city with Central Park and downtown areas. There were tons of shops and places to eat. There is also a huge arcade for the young (or young at heart) where the rollercoaster is located.

Spice Market BuffetBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Aladdin Buffet"

This buffet is the best! I won't even try anywhere else, because I enjoy this one so much. There is every type of food you could imagine: American, Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Middle Eastern, etc. I've only been here for breakfast/lunch, but the food is incredible!

Andre's Original French RestaurantBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Andre's French Restaurant"

We ate here for Thanksgiving dinner. They had a nice seven-course meal for $50 per person including a glass of hard cider. I felt it was very reasonable considering the cuisine. The Andre's on the Strip had a similar package, but cost $25 more. The restaurant is quaint, located in a house, and very romantic. The food was exquisite, each course better than the last. The waiters were very attentive.

Carnaval Court Bar & GrillBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Carnival Court"

This is the place to see the bartenders perform while making your drink. Some of the best bartenders in the world work here and it shows! The bar is a huge carousel-inspired circle, with a stage and tables at one end. There are heaters outside for those chilly nights and you should get there early if you want a seat at the bar to see the show. What the bartenders refer to as "flair," is the Cocktail-inspired way of making drinks by fliping the bottles into the air, balancing mulitple drinks on top of each other, etc. The bartenders there are great and are a must-see!

MystereBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Mystère by Cirque du Soleil"

Anything by Cirque du Soleil is beyond words, and Mystere is no exception. The acrobatics are incredible, from the girls hanging from the ceiling to the men on the trampolines. Although the ticket price is steep, the show itself is amazing and well worth the price. It really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so please experience this delightful show. You can purchase tickets up to three months in advance, and I highly recommend this because we were able to get front-row seats!
