Skiing in Utah

A February 2003 trip to Park City by clarky

We had a great ski trip to Park City. We stayed at the Sweetwater at Park City Lift Lodge, a very convenient location for ski areas and Main Street, and also bus stops. The condo was very comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful.

Overview

We loved skiing at Deer Valley. It is so well organized and well taken care of. From the complimentary overnight ski check to the gourmet food at the ski lodges, everything is exceptional. Even though the snowfall has been less than usual this year, the skiing was excellent.

Quick Tips:

Try the Olympic bobsled ride. It's well worth the expense--although once was enough! It is very professionally done. You can book in advance or chance it when you get there.

Best Way To Get Around:

There is great public transportation. A car afforded us more flexiblility, but is not a requirement.
A great spot for dinner, drinks, and appetizers. The round bar takes up the center of the room and is a very comfortable way to spend time listening to live music and trying a variety of martinis or wines. Try the "Flirtini" - it turned out to be a favorite of ours.
