Cabo San Lucas was wonderful. Great food, friendly people, sandy beaches, and The Arch!! Can't wait to go back.

Villa de Palmar

Best Things Nearby:
It is situated on a beautiful beach with a view of The Arch. All types of water activities and resturants are nearby. A variety of beach front resturants are within walking distance. A favorite is "The Office" It has a party atmosphere and has live entertainment.

Best Things About the Resort:
The resort is right on a beautiful beach. Swimming is perfect. Water taxis, parasailing, etc are available. Also there is a grocery store, laundry, and deli on the premises -- and access to internet. The hottub area overlooks the ocean and is large enough to accomodate 25-30 people. The pool area is two tiered and hosts a waterslide. There is lots of area and beach lounges for you to choose either in the sun or shade. You can also relax under an umberella on the sand beach.

Resort Experience:
Beautiful resort. The units are spacious and well-equipped. Our unit was a one bedroom with two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, three piece bath and a TV. Our balcony overlooked a small courtyard and fountain. We also had a narrow view of the ocean. We enjoyed eating our breakfast on the terrace. The living room furniture was wicker and somewhat uncomfortable but how much time do you spent inside when the ocean is at your front door! The kitchen was equiped with the necessary dishes and cutlery. It had a fridge and range top. We had daily maid service -- a must on vacation. Our towels and linens were changed daily. There is a large pool area, two hot tubs, and waterslide. The concierges are helpful, and there is full spa on site, three restaurants, nightly entertainment and a daily activity program.

The Town Square

Club Solaris Cabos

Best Things Nearby:
The town of San Jose del Cabo is about a 20 minute walk. It has quaint shops and a nice town square.

Best Things About the Resort:
This is an all-inclusive resort. The evening entertainment was done by the activity personnel and was excellent.

Resort Experience:
This was a beautiful resort with a great pool area. It had bridges and fountains and a swim-up bar. The food was always buffet-style, which one became very tired of by the end of the week. There were two resturants on-site, but it was very hard to get reservations for them. The resort is right on the beach, but the beach is unsafe for swimming.

Joquim created fabulous Crepes Cajeta right at our table

La Galeria Resturant Bar

Outdoor resturant overlooking the Marina. The lobster was reasonable and delicious. Our waiter was Joquim, and he prepared Crepes Cajeta for us for dessert. They were fabulous -a must if you go. Watching him prepare them by our table was wonderful entertainment. Very friendly place.

A must see

Lover's Beach/Divorce Beach

If you do nothing else in Cabo you must take a water taxi to Lover's Beach. For a few extra dollars they will take you to the Arch and also to see the sea lions. Lover's Beach (Sea of Cortez) is beautiful - calm and great for swimming. Just a few feet away on the pacific side is Divorce Beach. It is wild and rough with crashing waves.

A great way to get around Cabo
While in Cabo, you should take a ride in a bicycle taxi. It cost us less (US$5) to take a bicycle taxi back to our hotel than a car taxi. Our driver capably steered us uphill and down as he peddled us back to our hotel for the night.
