Getaway in Carlsbad

A February 2000 trip to Carlsbad by dawsb36

A week stay with visiting family from Boston. My sister, her husband, and their son came to Carlsbad. My brother-in-law ran in the San Diego Marathon which is held in Carlsbad every year. We stayed in a timeshare in Carlsbad where I had exchanged a week.

Resort Experience:
This very nice resort had an excellent location, a view of the ocean from all condos, and very accommodating staff. I enjoyed staying here even though I live in the same town. We would recommend it to tourists.

Fidel's Mexican restaurant is on the grounds, there's a nice courtyard and swimming pool, and you'll find a lot of activities every day and night to do, as well as entertainment at night nearby. You can park your car and walk to many places to eat and go to the village to browse in antiques shops and boutiques.

very good food, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices and casual attire. Not noisy and you don't need reservations. We go there quite a bit when we want good food. Nice view of the ocean

Very good Italian food with all authentic Italian waiters. I think it was Northern Italy food, not the usual run of the mill menu. Across from the beach and a view of the ocean. Very romantic at night
