Bushkill Falls is a wonderful nature walk and offers miniature golf or paddle boating for a day's excursion. There are several water parks in the area for hot weather - one at Shawnee and another at Camelback Ski Area. Shawnee is designed for the younger kids, but adults can have fun too - it doesn't get terribly crowded. Check out their website before you go for possible specials or discounts. Camelback is larger and has rides with more impact - it can be an adventure. There is also outlet shopping, candle-making shops, and antique dealers nearby. This is a quaint restaurant that was once a train terminal. Great entertainment for kids--as they eat they can watch a model train spiral around the dining room overhead. The lemon poppy-seed dressing and the home-baked breads are awesome! Fun and affordable.

There is a children’s menu and it is a child-friendly atmosphere. It can get crowded on weekends so you may want to call ahead.
