Skiing is the best thing, with Canmore, Attitash, Bretton Woods, and Wildcat, just to name a few, all within close distance to Bartlett. You have the best variety. Shopping is also great with the outlets in Conway.

Nestlenook Farm in Jackson is a great place for a break from skiing, with ice skating and sleigh rides, sledding and snow-shoeing, complete with cider, hot chocolate and a cozy fire to warm up by. You can rent everything to enjoy a great day.

Quick Tips:

Travelling Route 95 to Route 16 is your best bet from Providence. Route 302 offers great scenic views of Mountain Washington.

Best Way To Get Around:

A car is a must unless you cross-country ski or snowmobile.

It's absolutely beautiful, very roomy, and well-decorated with a all of the conveniences of home (and then some). The views are great from all the decks and it's very quiet and peaceful. My husband and I bought our unit last winter and encouraged some friends to go up and check the place out. They liked it and ended up buying a unit in the summer. This winter they came up to visit us during our stay in February. They had not skied in years, but after spending a couple days with us skiing and just hanging out in Bartlett, Conway, etc., they ended up upgrading their unit and trading it for a ski week. So next year we can each invite friends and have a really great time!!!
