The people, the enormous pool and waterslide, great views from all rooms, and the ferry boat to town.

Resort Experience:
This rapidly growing resort is going to be a showplace. The lounge pools on each deck are beautiful. The landscaping is very lush and tropical. It is ideally situated to be both isolated and cozy as well as very close to town by ferry boat (provided to guests). Future plans are to include health spa and grocery store on site.

We love this place.

The onsite restaurants are wonderful, from the 5 star gourmet French Cuisine to the patio grill. The Pirates of the Carribean grill is also a treat. From "American Hamburgers" to cracked conch, everything we tried was fresh and delicious.

They have a wonderful local menu, and the seafood is delicious. Conch fritters and cracked conch are good, and the sauces are homemade and delicious. They have great service and atmosphere. It's open very late for the casino patrons. I'm a frequent visitor, and love it!

You are picked up at your resort in an air-conditioned van and ride for twenty minutes to Paradise Cove. Snorkel gear is furnished along with a short class on dive procedure. Wade out to the reef (100 yds.) and shallow snorkel for as long as you like. Food and drink is part of the package ($30.00 pp/total). I fished off the beach opposite the reef and caught bonefish and barracuda. These people have a first class operation.

We have discovered a way to get around freeport free, or nearly free. The ferry from Ritz Resort drops you off at the marketplace in town. Walk over to the OUR LUCAYA Hotel and there is a FREE shuttle to the Casino (and International Market) that runs from 5pm to 10:30pm daily.

The city bus service is only $1 and it virtually circles the main parts of Freeport. A great way to meet locals and listen to local chatter. We are shocked to see so many people relying on costly cabs to get around. Being a miser, I found a better way! Enjoy.
