Del Prado
I love the sun, wind, water and sailboats. Take a walk along the bay and stroll thru Seaport Village then on to the Star of India Maritime Museum. Hungry? Have lunch at Anthony's Fish Grotto on Harbor Drive. Hop on the Old Town Trolley and visit Coronado Island and the famous Hotel Del Coronado. Other points of interest include Old Town, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Gaslamp District and Horton Plaza. All accessible by trolley. While in Old Town don't miss the Father Serra Museum and Bazaar Del Mundo. Balboa Park has the Old Globe Theatre and theReuben H. Fleet Space Theater among its many attractions. Sea World is nearby.

Quick Tips:

Many hotels and restaurants are located on Harbor Drive. Prices for every pocketbook.

Best Way To Get Around:

Leave your car at the hotel, put on some comfortable shoes and set out for a great walking adventure. The trolley is always there if you need it.

Holiday Inn San Diego on the BayBest of IgoUgo

Hotel | "Holiday Inn"

This is a great motel right on the waterfront. Be sure to request a bay-side room for a wonderful view of San Diego Bay. The sunsets are spectacular. Rooms are well appointed with all the little things that make you feel at home (hair dryers, ironing facilities, coffee in room).

Attraction

What a way to see San Diego. Old Town State Park, Seaport Village, Horton Plaza and Coronado Island are some of the 9 stops the trolley makes. From each stop you can explore the area as long as you like, then hop back on for another narrated trip to the next location.

Story/Tip

Located on San Diego Bay, this is a great place to stroll through many unique shops. You can buy a kite, dream catcher, unusual jewlery, hammocks, or enjoy an art gallery. Four nice restaurants and several fast food shops offer something for everyone. Take a ride on the wonderful carousel or enjoy the walks along the bay.
