The trails are fairly flat, which makes this an easy ride and a safe one. There are many places along the way where you can stop for refreshments or a meal. The one downside is that a lot of the rest room facilities are porta-potties. This can be a problem for us females. For this reason, I try to plan a stop for a small meal along the way in a real restaurant with a REAL REST ROOM. In Sagamore, at the end of the Canal Trail, is a fantastic restaurant with great views called Horizons on Sunset Bay.
