turtleMore Photos

A trip to a new destination for us, and a brand new timeshare, still under construction. We wanted it all and we got it; 5-star resort Mayan Palace, a beautiful beach, the largest swimming pool I've seen, snorkeling, three excellent reastaurants. IT HAS IT ALL !!!

Best Things Nearby:
Xcaret Park and Playa del Carmen.

Best Things About the Resort:
It's new! The beach is also great.

Resort Experience:
See journal five star for real. The golf course should be done in fall 2003. Don't go on the sales tour unless you're interested in buying - high presure sales force. It may have Cancun's largest pool.

FINE DINING
The resort has three on-site restaurants. Fine dining, which comes with a floor show, beach front, which is very good (try the seafood casserole), and a pool side location for breakfast and lunch. All three have an open air area as well as a covered one.

Attraction

turtle
The park offers 25 different things to do: snorkel, dive tours, strolling the bottom of the sea, horseback riding, floating through underground rivers, a butterfly pavilion, swimming with the dolphins, an aviary, sea turtles, laying on the beach, museum, and watching over 200 hundred performers in the Xcaret night show. It's an all-day thing and well worth the money!!!

Photos are worth a 1000 words, they say, so I thought I would include some more of various shots on our trip, grandkids, miscellaneous shots of things around the resort, etc.
