I was amazed to see a city so close to home on the list and I had to just write a good note for the suburb of Buffalo, NY. This city, as for any suburb of Buffalo without hills to ski on, are best for the summer months.

Amherst is a beautiful city outside of Buffalo, but like many of the other cities outside of Buffalo, the whole area thrives on the festivals that are held almost every weekend throughout the area. There is the Italian Fest, the Canal Fest, the Allen Town Art Fest, and the Taste of Buffalo, just to name a few.

Amherst holds many of the hotels to stay at to get to any of these many festivals. This area, as well as the many other areas of Buffalo, don't get the justice they deserve due to the reputation of the snow that is constantly sent our way.

Activity

This strip of well over 20 bars boasts the areas' hub of evening activites. Bars and clubs feature DJs or live bands to attract area college kids and locals from the suburbs. This strip is most busy on Fridays and Saturdays, but can be busy with any activites that may be happening that night in the area, including hockey or baseball games.

With this new casino in Niagara Falls, along with the casino on the Canadian side of the falls, there should be many people who flock to this once barren city. With many hotels in the area and just a short walk from the falls, this attraction is a must for gamblers and non-gamblers alike.
