Best Way To Get Around:

From the airport, rent a taxi or limo. Limo is actually cheaper. If staying on the strip the whole time, you won't need a car. If you want to go to Vegas downtown or someplace off the strip, rent a car!

The RainForest Cafe is a fun place to go with children and also for adults. Amazing atmosphere, with huge fish tanks, elephants, butterflies, and you're in the middle of the rainforest. If you have never been to one before, you should give it a try! In the middle of your dinner, a storm starts and it starts to rain all over the place, but don't worry, you won't get wet! The food is good, and the price is good as well! A very nice family place that will leave you full and happy!

I'm not a very big fan of seafood and this is what this place has. It's one of those places with pretty dishes, and you leave still hungry and saying, "wow, I payed how much?!" But this is Emeril's place, and that's why it goes over so well. The people in my party who loved seafood really did enjoy the evening. I enjoyed the drinks, and that was about it! But if I just walked over to the casino part I could of had those for free.

I really love Hard Rock Cafe's. The one in Vegas let me down a little because I didn't think they had too many collected items from the stars. But the food is great, and the price is right. This is located next to the Hard Rock Cafe Hotel. The whole family will enjoy this place. They also have children menus. If you decide to go make sure you order the Muchos Nachos. Yum!

This is such a great buffet. It's HUGE! You can have everything you want, from milkshakes to gyros - something for everyone. And since it's a buffet you can have as much as you want! The food is served good and hot. I usually hate buffets because I think they are really dirty, but this one is very clean! Enjoy!

The Vegas Strip is amazing, and taking a walk on the Strip is a sight to see: the Eiffel Tower, castles, New York City skyline, Roman statues, pirate ships, and folks who try to hand you papers to adult shows. Don't get me wrong, this is a family town, but I think you would have more fun minus your family--at least if they are under 21! But Vegas has it all--shows, casinos, free drinks, roller-coasters, and Wayne Newton . . . a category of his own! So enjoy one of the best places to walk in the world! Oh! Don't forget to invest in a pair of good walking shoes for Vegas, and be sure to break them in before you go. I didn't and was in much pain, at least the first day!

Circus Circus Hotel CasinoBest of IgoUgo

Circus Circus was one of the first themed casinos, and it looks like it. This is the place most people with children will stay. Let me paint a picutre of this for you. You walk into the hotel that looks like a giant circus tent, where you are welcomed by clowns. And before you know it, you are being overtaken by screaming children, whose parents left them to go gamble. This hotel is not for those without children. Maybe take a quick peek at the inside, and you'll be ready to go. The inside looks really shabby and not clean. This is also one of the cheaper places to stay on the Strip, but you will be dealing with lots of children . . . not to mention clowns. A nice thing is the circus acts upstairs that keep the children busy. But you will find lots of lost children at this place. So again, this one isn't for everyone! If you want peace and quiet and a nice clean casino, forget this one!

This is a really well themed casino! They really make you feel like you are in the medieval times! It's right next to New York New York casino, and has a walkway above the street for easy access. The casino is great. It's not a dressy one, it's just a fun one! If you're with kids, they will enjoy it.

Wayne Newton (The Show)Best of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Wayne Newton"

Wayne Newton is Mr. Vegas! He really puts on a great show. He is funny and charming, and ladies throw underwear on the stage, not to mention room keys and everything else! If you are going to Las Vegas or have been to Vegas many times, it's always nice to visit Wayne! Yes, he will sing all his "hits" . . . and he throws in many older songs that at one time used to rock the radio. The only problem I had with the show is the opening--Wayne makes sure he shakes everyone's hand and gives every lady a kiss. He does this during the opening number, and last time he opened with the Elvis hit "Suspicous Minds," so I don't know how many times we had to listen to him sing that song for about 15 minutes! But it's a great show, filled with comedy, great music, and Wayne! YOU'LL LOVE IT! Even if you don't like Wayne, you'll still like his show! It's also a great family show as well . . . if your kids are into lounge singers! :0)

Treasure Island Hotel CasinoBest of IgoUgo

Treasure Island is a very nice hotel and casino. It's very clean and very family-friendly. But the best thing to do is to watch the pirate battle outside of the hotel nightly. Two ships go at it, with live actors and lots of special effects. But make sure you get there early to get a good place to watch it. Crowds gather really early, but the show plays every hour on the hour. This is also a great place to play at!

Rio is not on the Vegas strip, but it's not far, but you will still need a car or a taxi to get to it. Rio has the best morning buffet in the world! It's world famous, and you can really have anything you want, from lobster to steak to toast to milk shakes to pizza. They have it all.

As for the casino, it's just ok. The thing Rio uses to pull people in is the Mardi Gras parade. Floats from overhead float around the casino and people throw beads, and the whole thing is rather a grand show. So it is worth the trip just to see the parade. And yes, children can see it as well.

Attraction | "MGM Grand"

MGM Grand is a very nice casino and hotel. At one time they played the Wizard of Oz theme throughout the whole hotel, but now they play on the Hollywood of the 30s - 40s. It's big and very, very pretty! Lots of shops, with mostly MGM movie things to buy, and lots of places to eat such as RainForest Cafe and Emeril's. All in all it is a great place to spend some time or to stay when in Vegas.

Fremont Street ExperienceBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Fremont Street"

This is downtown Vegas, it is not as nice as the strip and is not very family-oriented. But this is old Vegas, and has famous things like the Vegas Cowboy. Also you have places to gamble such as the world famous "Nugget". Freemont street is covered and in the evening they have a light show, so it's hard to go from one place to another because everyone is out on the street watching the show. And this place is just a little more rough than the strip in the evening, so be careful. During the day you won't run into to many problems. But if you want to see old Vegas go take a look. You will need a car to get to there.

New York, New York is a really fun casino. It's really fun to stay at New York, only because you actually get to stay in one of the skyline buildings! There's a roller coaster coming out the roof of the casino. This is really a great place to hang with family and also a very classy place to lay down some money at some tables! You will want to stop into a little bit of the Big Apple in Vegas!

Studio 54Best of IgoUgo

This club is crazy and hot! I love it! They tried to bring back Studio 54 as best as they could (the famous one from NYC). They do a very good job, with disco music lights and everything and more a club should be. Crazy people go to this club and wear crazy cloths! I think I can sum this club up in one word...C-R-A-Z-Y! If you are going to go to at least one club, go to this one!
