An August 2002 trip

Quote: This is a must. The water is absolutely astounding and the beach is as clean as glass. They rake the beaches every morning. Shops are quaint and Perkins Cove is like going back to yesteryear. What a grand place to vacation. The lobster pond is a great experience to eat. The best.
The beautiful decor around you made you feel that it all couldn't be true. I did not feel enclosed at all for there is so much to do and so much room on the mega ships you can literaly find a spot for the whole evening to be alone and unwind or around people and enjoy on-board activities. I am not able to go onto any kind of common boat, like on the rivers or lakes -- but the ''severe sea sick'' I get there doesn't happen on these ships. It's just like being on land in a large hotel with everything at your fingertips including phones and computers with internet connection.
Cruising is the way to go and you can go very cheaply if you go online -- book early and then book a cheap upgrade the last week or two. That's the way to go.
