Branson Baby!

Overview

Quote:
Branson is a great vacation place. You can go for two days or a week, something for everyone. From country music, comedy, to roller coaster rides, you can find it all here in this nice getaway!

Quick Tips:

You will probaly need to rent a car, it's hard to get around on the strip during on season because of the crowds and the layouts of the roads. At least that's what I found out.

Best Way To Get Around:

Car/bus.

Showboat Branson Belle

Attraction | "Branson Belle."

Quote:
The Branson Belle is a great evening cruise. This is a dinner cruise. After dinner you will be treated to a fine night of family entertainment. The cruise is about 2 1/2 hours long. And it is very easy to find discounted tickets. This is also run by Silver Dollar City. So if you're a season ticket holder to Silver Dollar City, you get a very nice discounted rate! This is great for older couples or just couples who want to have a nice evening on the lake. Smooth sailing, and good times are to be had on the Belle!

Marvel Cave

Attraction | "Silver Dollar City"

Quote:
Silver Dollar City is great fun. It is also owned by the same folks who own Dollywood, in Tennessee. So the parks have somewhat of the same things, minus Dolly. This park is beautiful and very well shaded; there are great shows, great rides, and great places to eat! One of our favorites is Fire in the Hole, a water ride that takes you through a burning town. The shows are A+, number 1! Make sure you go to the Bar Show, and also For the Glory, two shows not to be missed. For the Glory deals with a battle in the Civil War, and the Bar show has it all -- including villains and good time gals that sing about "GOOD CLEAN FUN." You can see Silver Dollar City in a day. But if they are having a ...Read More

Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum

Attraction | "Ripley's Believe it or Not!"

Quote:
You can find Ripley musuems in many places nowadays. This is another one. If you have never gone, it is worth the price, but if you have gone before, then you are in for more of the same things. Mermaids, shrunken heads, chamber of horrors... This is a nice attraction if you have some time to kill and want to laugh.

Shepherd of the Hills

Attraction | "Shepard of the Hill"

Quote:
This is billed as a whole-day event, and it's not. This is where the book Shepherd of the Hills was written, the same book that was later made into a movie with John Wayne. You can take a tour of the Ozark log cabin that was based on the same cabin used by the author when creating the story. For $15 or so, you get a tour of the cabin; dinner, served outside on paper plates (usually corn and chicken and some sort of bread); a tour of the author's musuem; a trip to Lookout Point, which has a great view of the mountains; a behind-the-scenes tour of the whole place; and your ticket to the show that evening. You can, if you want, just buy tickets to the show. The show is the story ...Read More
