Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

Very good connections early till late by Metro. You can visit the surrounding area by coach with Pullmantur. For instance, a guided tour to Toledo.
Plaza del Sol
A masterpiece! Be sure to make a reservation in advance. It''s possible to have dinner before the show begins. The show is a spectacular, perhaps unique demonstration of the flamenco art. The artists are among the best in this field. Thus this is not the "popular" touristic kind of dance. A breathtaking night out!

In case you should lose your documents, or in case you should be the victim of a robery or theft, you will have to proceed as follows. When you lose your national identity card, you go to make a declaration at the police station. In case of aggression, you can call the police at once (urgencias). You can find a police station night and day in the street named calle Leganitos. At night you will find an armed policeman at the front door. You can wait in the backroom, and this can take quite a long time at night or in the early morning. How to find the way from Gran Via? Go to Plaza del Callao, direction of Plaza de Santo Domingo; the comisaria is small and on your left hand side. Afterwards, go to a metro station where there are automatic photo cabins (4 pictures each time), then go to your embassy with the declaration, 3 photos, and some money. Normally the embassy will verify and deliver you a temporary document to travel out of Spain.
