Best Things Nearby:
Swimming, in house movies nightly, the harbor, fishing, marina, restaurants, shopping, and exercise room.

Best Things About the Resort:
Lovely two bedroom unit -new. Porch off second floor level overlooking harbor. Easy check in and out. Queen bed in master bedroom. Twin beds in secnd bedroom. Kitchen facilities, TV in living room and master bedroom.

Resort Experience:
Inn On Long Wharf is a timeshare in the round. The parking, gardens, swimming pool, and grill area are surrounded by condos. We stayed in the newest area. It had two floors with a porch off the main lobby of both floors. The balcony on the second level overlooked the harbor. The grounds are kept exceptionally clean. We were there off season so it was quiet (mostly adults). The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our meal with our adult children. The atmosphere was 'nautical' and it was very noisy. The food was fare. There were more singles there than families.

When we arrived at Inn on Longwharf we were pleasantly surprised. It is situated on the harbor with the marina a short walk away. There are shops, restaurants and night clubs everywhere. We enjoyed sailing, fishing and just strolling along the harbor. I have never seen so many sailboats at one time. There are 10 to 12 mansions to visit, a fort to visit and history everywhere. There is a cliff walk that is a must to experience.

Newport, R.I. is mostly for adults. There were many singles around town. There is a college situated in town. I wouldn't bring young children to Newport because there didn't seem to be much for children to do. No amusement parks, no beach, and no McDonalds or Wendy's.
