Xmas in the Poconos

The best things to do during the Xmas week were:
1. Christmas musical at the Fernwoods Event Center - the production is awesome.
2. Snowtubing at the Fernwoods facility - reduced rates for resort guests!
3. Crayola factory at Easton, PA - an hour away from the resort, but great for the kids.
4. Lunch at the Tandoor Palace next to the Days Inn in Tannersville, PA. Part of the restaurant is on a train compartment!

Quick Tips:

Use Route 78 instead of Route 22 in the area. It has less traffic.

Best Way To Get Around:

The resort we stayed at has a trolley that picks up guests from their unit and drops them off at Kid Central and other activity locations. Very convenient!

- PEEC (Poconos Environment Center)
- Ski facilities

Best Things About the Resort:
Free events at the Resort's Event Center, Kid Central and Log Cabin.

Discounted rates for activities at their winter facilities (snow tubing, etc.)

Resort Experience:
The resort is conveniently accessed from NYC, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

The Christmas events in and around the resort make it a very relaxing time.

The restaurant is tastefully decorated. The food is freshly prepared and very tasty.

The service is superb.

Best of all, part of the restaurant is an actual train compartment. It is even attached to an engine!

The arts and crafts at the Crayola Factory are just amazing! The kids get a lot of hands on activity, and would love to spend the whole day there!

There is also a Silk museum upstairs, but we skipped it.

There is a McDonalds Express in the first floor, so after the factory visit, we headed there.

Overall, a great day out for kids.
