We stayed at the Christmas Mountain Village which is close to all the attractions. Wisconsin Dells is definitely a kid's dream vacation and maybe even a "Big Kid's" dream vacation. They are known for having more water parks (outdoor and indoor) than any other place in the world.
It is very similar to Gatlinburg in that they have a main strip with all kinds of shops, restaurants, "Ripley's Believe it or not", etc. They also offer boat tours of the Dells, which we did not opt to do -- and I'm still kicking myself. Quick Tips: If you travel up during the summer or over a holiday, try driving up early in the morning or late at night to avoid the bumper to bumper traffic. Best Way To Ge
