Weekend In Dublin

A November 2002 trip to Dublin by eros

Quote: I went to dublin for a weekend of fun and shopping. As this was my first time in dublin I hadn't realised how big it was. It reminded me of a smaller version of London, as it was made up of little villages more so than one big city.

Weekend In Dublin

Overview

Quote:
My most memorable moment was when I was driving from cork to dublin. On the road to Dublin you come down from a height and you see the vast night lights of dublin and I then realised how big it was. Quick Tips: When you go to Dublin visit temple bar, it is a huge nightclub, pubs area and is located in the city center. there are many nightclubs and pubs to suit everyone. for shopping go to the Blanchards Shopping center. Here you can do anything you want you can go to the cinema, shop, even go to the gym. It's huge and is a great center.Best Way To Get Around: The best way to get around Dublin is by car. It was devine. Eddie Rockets is so nice that even though I live in Cork city (the closest Eddie Rocket's to me is in Limerick City which is about 100 miles away) a friend and I drive it regularly to eat there.

The burgers are huge. My suggestion get a "Double Take", which is a double burger, and side order of fries.

Milkshakes are devine and are made with real ice cream..not that machine stuff. And the deserts are brilliant.

Service is brilliant and food is on your table in under five minutes.

You get value for money. It is expensive but it is worth it. Trust me.

This is the biggest shopping center in Ireland. It is divided into two areas - you have the shopping mall and you have the industrial estate. Shopping Mall - In here you have approximately 700 - 800 shops ranging from Virgin Megastore, where you get your music, to Gap, Levis, and Wrangler stores, where you can get your clothes. Other stores include Morgan for women, a lot of cafés where you can sit and relax, and also there is all the big fast food companies - McDonalds, Burger King, and Eddie Rockets. Industrial Estate - Here you find all the big stores like Woodies DIY, B&Q DIY, Comet and Dixons Electrical Store, and PC World where you can get all your computer needs met. There...Read More
