Quote: What to do in Lake Tahoe without any snow. California and Western Nevada has had drought conditions the past couple years. We missed the snow by a week or so, but still had a great time in the clean, crisp Lake Tahoe air.

The nicest thing to do was to take one of the riverboat cruises across the lake. They run all year long and are a great way to spend a few hours. There were also great mountain hiking and biking trails at various sites around the lake. We took an approximately one-hour hike at the NE shore side of the lake near Cave Rock and another one in the mountains near the Ridge Tahoe, where we stayed. Off to the side of Heavenly Valley's stagecoach ski lift area, there's a small area where you can sled/snowplay, etc. We carved out a "snow trail" and sledded down a small hill (there was approximately 2" of snow struggling to remain from the last snowfall).
