The best of Big Bear is how close it is to L.A. - three hours away, and you can enjoy all the winter sports that you want. In Big Bear we have two skiing resorts to choose from and both of them are really good.

Quick Tips:

Don´t forget that you can ski at night - the slopes are almost empty, the lift lines are really fast, and you can enjoy almost the entire mountain.

Best Way To Get Around:

To enjoy the area you must have a car because in town, you can enjoy a great variety of restaurants and pubs to relax after a long day at the slopes. There is also a great variety of specialty shops where you can find everything from designer outfits to tire chains. There's also many places that are very cheap to get equipment in rental, and in many occasions you can have the demos.

There are many rentals for the season, and the best way is to book in advance so you can have a location near the slopes. Prices actually vary a lot, but if you book in advance you can save a lot.
