There's lots of things to do other than the beach. Make sure to include dolphin cruises, harbor shopping, fireworks and nightly entertainment through the summer nights, and great dining for all atmospheres, although it can get pretty expensive in some restaurants! You can also sail or jet ski for some added adventure, or enjoy rollerblading, horseback riding, or some of the nightlife that seems to be everywhere!
If you like to golf, this is the place to be! Some of the world's greatest courses are played right here to include the PGA's MCI/WorldCom Heritage Golf Classic!
Quick Tips:
Getting on and off the island can be pretty hectic on the weekend when most people are either coming or going to their vacation rentals, so be prepared! Dining can be a bit pricey as well so have plenty of cash or credit with you.
Best Way To Get Around:
Most of the resorts are either right on the beach or within walking distance, but you'll need a car for most things. If you like to ride bikes, they have tons of bike rentals for a really good price that allow you to take the bicycle trails that go all over the island.
