Do you want some hints on what's good and what's not? First of all, I will name some great dining:
1. If you like fast Chinese at its best, go to Kahana's spectacular China Boat.
2. Your girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife might think the Plantation House is expensive, but it's spectacular. Plantation House is a 5-star restaurant with 5-star sunsets.
3. Taste of Paradise is the best oceanfront restaurant on Maui. It's a true taste of paradise. You can just enjoy while you can.
4. For the best sushi in town, go to SANSEI'S. They have the best food!
Quick Tips:
I really like to go to Fleming Beach. That's where the waves are the biggest.
Lahaina is a great place for shopping and walking around. You can go to Froont St., Lahaina Cannery Mall, etc.
Snorkeling at Molokini is so much fun.
Wallace Theaters at the Wharf have state-of-the-art sound and all the new movies.
The Plantation Golf course is a beautiful golf course but hard! It has the longest hole of the PGA tour at 633 yards!
Best Way To Get Around:
Take the Kapalua shopping shuttle to get all around Kapalua and into Kaanapali. The Sugar Cane Train runs from Kaanapali to Lahaina, but it's very slow. I usually just drive. It takes a while to get to the airport, about 45 minutes, and the road is winding. And just a friendly Hawaiian reminder:
Mahalo means thank you.
